Specialist Training from The Hidden Impairment National Group

Disabled People/Parents & Carers of Disabled People

If you are a person with a hidden impairment (as defined on our about us page) or a parent/carer of a person with a Hidden Impairment then we are keen to hear from you.

We are looking for individuals that are willing and able to attend our board meetings, four times a year in Sheffield. For disabled people and parents/ carers we will discuss any travel needs and seek to support you with this, where possible.

For those individuals that join the board, you will be asked to sign an agreement which highlights what you can expect from HING and what your role on the board will be.

You will be asked to join the board for a maximum of two years, after which time membership will be reviewed to give other individuals an opportunity to join in the work of the group.

For more details on what would be expected of individuals joining the board or to apply to join please download our member application pack or contact us for more information.

At a later date we will also be establishing an online disabled people forum where all those attending the board and other interested parties can contribute to the work of the group throughout the year in a less formal setting.
