Specialist Training from The Hidden Impairment National Group

HING Board

“Autism Plus is delighted to have been asked by DWP to lead on the HING agenda going forward. Our organisation is committed to helping individuals with not just autism, but with a range of hidden impairments to life fulfilled lives and have access to opportunities throughout. We will be working in partnership with cross governmental departments to drive this agenda forward and are looking forward to welcoming a diverse range of members to the new HING structure to support this agenda.

It is important that we work together to break down the silo approach often adopted by organisations to ensure we support each individual holistically, as such we are inviting anyone interested in supporting this agenda to contact HING and find out how you can get involved”

Philip Bartey – Chief Executive, Autism Plus
Chair of Hidden Impairment National Group

Following a review of HING, we have taken the decision to change the structure of the group to include a wider range of complex needs, associated with Hidden Impairments.

We are inviting new members to join both as main board members but also as online contributors. We feel it is essential to ensure individuals with Hidden Impairments are able to contribute directly to this work of HING at all levels. In order to make the new structure fully accessible, as well as face to face meetings, individuals with hidden impairments can also join a virtual disabled group where questions will be posed to the group directly from the main board.

If you are keen to support the HING agenda and become an active member of the group, either as a professional, parent/carer or individual then please contact our team on info@hing.org to find out more or click here.
