This page provides you with further information about HING
History of HING
The Hidden Impairment Group consists of a wide range of organisations, that have a shared interest in raising awareness of Hidden Impairments and helping public and private sector organisations better understand how to effectively support this group of individuals.
Following a review of HING, we have decided to change the structure of the group to cover a wider range of complex needs, associated to Hidden Impairments.
HING is delighted to welcome Mark Harper, Minister of State for Disabled People as official sponsor of the group. Read Marks’ statement of support to this agenda.
Understanding Hidden Impairments
For the purpose of this group the term ‘Hidden Impairments’ is used to describe any of the following: Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Speech and Language impairments.
